Stephanie Larimer

Hello there! My name is Stephanie Larimer and I teach sewing workshops at perennial. I have many years of teaching experience under my belt with 2 years of art education at Maryville University, 5 years as an art instructor in Art City at the City Museum, and 4 years at UMSL Gallery Visio as the gallery director, intern supervisor, and instructor of gallery protocol and installation workshops. That was a mouthful! I graduated from UMSL with a bachelors degree in Art History and minor in studio art. While pursuing my degree, I worked in fashion retail and fashion merchandising for almost 10 years which most likely contributes to my love of fashion design. I was taught by my mother how to sew when I was a young girl and continued to sew most of my life as a hobby until a few years ago when my hobby turned into a business and I started a clothing line. I love passing my sewing know-how onto folks willing to learn. Sewing is s great skill to have as it saves money and gives a sense of accomplishment. In my workshops, I keep sewing fun and easy! These days I fancy myself a city dwelling needleworker who loves the outdoors, my dogs, my husband, and hoarding vintage fabric.
