Marcis Curtis is a multidisciplinary artist and co-founder of Citizen Carpentry, a social enterprise dedicated to bettering our community and environment through material salvage, skill sharing, and home renovation projects. Marcis (sounds like Markis) handles project management and leads group work at Citizen Carpentry, and hopes to provide more access to skills and tools through educational opportunities like Perennial. When he’s not on a job site or at Citizen Carpentry’s shop in south city, Marcis organizes site visits and secures new clients, providing estimates and consultation for projects. He holds a BS in Political Science from The Colorado College, and has received Fellowships from the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission’s Community Arts Training Institute as well as StartingBloc LA ’16. Outside of work, Marcis loves to recharge through drawing, riding bikes, and playing soccer.
