Materials saved from the landfill:
privacy windows, mirrors, glass scraps
Skills you’ll learn:
pattern-making, glass cutting, scoring, copper foiling, soldering
Participants will learn to use recycled glass, copper foil, flux, and lead-free solder to sculpt their 3D stained glass trinket tray. The class will demonstrate how to safely use a glass cutter and grinder to create custom shapes from privacy windows, mirrors, and clear glass. These beautiful trays are a lovely way to store your jewelry, keys, and more!
Note: This class requires hand strength and the use of a very hot tool. Patience, an eye for safety, and hand dexterity will help participants achieve their design goals.
This is an in-person class that will take place at Perennial. You will be assigned your own socially-distanced work station, and will be required to wear a mask while you are here. Our full policies can be found here.
