What is Crafternoon?

Crafternoon is a series of workshops, demonstrations, conversations, and open studio time on Saturday afternoons where you get to flex your creative muscles with like-minded folks. Choose from themed afternoons to work on personal projects (think woodburning, sewing, printmaking) or sign up for “Open Studio” to dive into whichever project you keep putting on the back burner.

Who can come to Crafternoon?

Our themed Crafternoons are typically 1-2 hours in length and are open to anyone interested in working on a personal project or craft related to the theme of the afternoon. You’ll spend a couple hours crafting + connecting with like-minded folks and one of our awesome teaching artists! Crafternoon is geared toward those who have taken classes with us at Perennial and want to continue to play with + explore the themed craft. We do recommend signing up in advance to secure a spot for you and your friends!

Our Open Studio afternoons are open to everyone over the age of 16 who has taken a Perennial class and wants to put those skills to work! Open Studio will typically be hosted the first Saturday of every month. Depending on your project, you can choose to work in the Woodshop or the ReUse Studio. Spots are limited, so we highly recommend signing up in advanced for the space and time slot you need. For folks who have been creating with us for awhile, Open Studio is similar to Community Workshop. Want to learn more about Open Studio? Check out our FAQ page!

How much does Crafternoon cost?

Each themed Crafternoon typically costs $15 (members gets 20% off!) and includes materials needed for the afternoon, unless otherwise noted.

Open Studio costs $15 per 2-hour time slot and materials for your project are available for purchase. Check out our FAQ page for more information!
