1. What is your favorite reclaimed material to work with?

I love finding old sheets from the 70’s. They weave up into great rag rugs.

2. What is the most interesting/weirdest item you have found in an alley, the trash or a thrift store?

I found a pig castrater at a thrift store.  I was only knew what it was because I was with a friend whose father raised hogs.  We purchased the contraption for a gift.

3. What artist/designer/person inspires you? (moms included 🙂 )

Simon Rodia artist of the Watts Towers in south LA.  He used community and discarded trash in the streets to build a  wonderland of textural beauty.

4. What do you love most about St. Louis?

Mostly the red brick and friendly people.  I have found it quite easy to collect supportive friends.

5. What is your favorite type of pie?

I love pumkin pie.

6. What is your occupation?

Painter/Dyer for Opera Theater St. Louis and master of odd jobs:tamale making, food truck assistant,resale clerk, wedding dress maker.  The list never ends….
