Have stuff to donate to Perennial?
We accept donations during our retail hours: 11am-5pm Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. At this time we are only accepting donations from this list. If you have stuff to donate that isn’t on this list, check out our Resources page for other local organizations that may be able to take your stuff. Thank you for your understanding! Come help us clear room by shopping our retail stash!
Below is a list of stuff we need…
however, due to lack of space there are a few things we cannot take:
- furniture
- unfinished projects
- plastic food containers
- fabric scraps
*Please do not bring items that aren’t on our list unless you have emailed shop@perennialstl.org to make sure we can take your donation. Thank you!
Stuff we need:
Wood + Wooden Items
- wooden cigar boxes
- wooden clothes pins (with springs)
- wooden picture frames any size
- hardwood dresser drawers (at least 9″ deep x 12″ tall x 12″ wide)
- 2″ x 4″ wood (longer than 3′)
- 2″ x 6″ wood (longer than 3′)
- any 1″ thick wood that is longer than 3′
- 4″ x 4″ posts
- panel product (plywood, osb, chip board, mdf, etc) in 12”x12” or larger pieces!
- walnut or cherry wood (any thickness but 12″ or more length)
- hardwoods (any thickness but 12″ or more length)
- fence pickets
Fabric + Textiles
- any fabric (larger than 1 yard)
- white cotton bed sheets
- burlap
- lace
- leather
- linen and canvas
- monk’s cloth
- white or light colored 100% silk
- yarn, embroidery floss, and sewing thread
- upholstery (larger than a yard)
Plant materials
- acorns
- black walnuts (we love them when they’re still green!)
- logwood chips/sawdust
- osage orange chips/sawdust
- dried coreopsis, cosmos, and marigolds
Used tools
- scissors
- crochet hooks
- large eyed sewing/darning needles
- sewing tools + notions
- sewing needles + pins
- jewelry tools
- knitting needles
- hole punches
- rubber stamps
Used hand tools
- pliers
- screwdrivers
- wrenches
- hammers
- carpentry tools: squares, rulers
- handsaws
- measuring tapes
- corded tools: grinders, drills, saws, dremmels, sanders, etc. (must be corded, no battery powered tools please)
Hardware
- hinges
- drawer pulls/knobs
- washers (any size)
Kitchen Items
- metal or glass measuring cups
- round metal cake pans
- metal measuring spoons
- wicker baskets (no plastic ones)
Glass
- stained glass sheets or scraps (flat and colorful panes, no bottles)
- tiny glass jars with secure lid (1 – 2oz, labels removed)
- wide mouth glass jars (labels removed)
- fish bowls or glass containers for terrariums (no tanks!)
- vases
Paper
- watercolor paper
- any heavy weight paper
- hardback books (less than 1″ wide spine)
Miscellaneous
- beads
- buttons
- embroidery hoops (12″ or smaller)
- keys + key rings
- large cutting mats (24 by 36)
- leather belts
- plastic storage tubs with lids
- terracotta pots
- t-shirts with NO side seams (the less printed text the better!)
- PVC pipe at least 5 feet long and 1.5-2″ wide
Wax
- beeswax
- soy wax

- sewing machine thread tree
- mixer drill attachment for cement/plaster
