Perennial’s Commitment to the Community
Perennial is committed to ensuring creative reuse for all! We love collaborating with our neighbors through workshops, support for environmental justice efforts, and offering free education experiences. To further our mission to build a creative culture of reuse where discarded objects are transformed into cherished resources we offer the following community outreach initiatives.
You can support Perennial’s community outreach with a donation to our mission.

ReCreate Studio

Perennial works with social service partners to offer free materials, instruction, and studio time for women at transitional points in their lives. The program supports women as they build their creative confidence and community.

Community Circle

Through the generosity of our Community Circle Members, Perennial is able to offer scholarships for classes. Need a little help to make your DIY dreams come true? Apply for a class scholarship here.
Funds are limited and scholarships are not guaranteed.

Green Neighbors

Green Neighbors is Perennial’s commitment to events that support environmental justice and serve our hyper-local neighbors. Perennial is able to offer a limited number of free or subsidized events each year.

Green Neighbors events prioritize:
+Organizations serving residents of Marine Villa, Gravois Park, and Dutchtown, The Ville, Old North, and Jeffvanderlou
+BIPOC led organizations
+Environmental Justice Advocacy or Education

Standing Partners

We support the following partners with multi-workshop series led by Perennial teaching artists and offered to participants free of charge. Often these series are supported by grant funding. We are currently looking to add partners for 2026. Have an idea for a future partnership? Email Lillian at lillian@perennialstl.org to discuss.

They grow healthy produce across a network of urban farms in the heart of St. Louis and donate the majority of the harvest to nonprofit partners serving communities with limited or non-existent access to healthy, nutritious food.
