identification, collection + preparation of dye stuffs, pre-treatment of fibers, tips + tricks for dyeing yarn

Boost your textile craft practice (or start a new one!) by learning the specifics of dyeing yarn with easy-to-find natural materials. Erin Luna of Black Rat Farms began her natural dye journey by dyeing yarn for her various projects, and her love of dyes has grown significantly since then. In this class, she’ll share her tips + tricks for yarn dyeing from the fiber pre-treatment to tangle prevention to dye-aftercare. Each participant will go home with a yarn dye sampler of 3 colors. Yarn colors will vary and depend on availability of dye materials.
