DESCRIPTION:Materials saved from the landfill:\nplant materials \nSkills you’ll learn:\nethical foraging\, identification + extraction of fiber from a plant\, cordage making from plant fibers \nLet’s go back to our roots (pun intended)! In this class\, you’ll go on a foraging field trip down our alleys (weather permitting) to learn how to identify plants that offer strong fibers for making cordage\, commonly known as string. You’ll then ethically harvest those fibers from the plants and learn how to properly dry and wrap those fibers to create cords you can use for a variety of projects. \n
