Soup bowl cozies are great scrap-busting projects that will teach you basic quilting techniques while you create a functional item for the home. It’s a perfect cold-weather piece that would make a great holiday present. During this class, everyone will complete one cozy that will be pieced, quilted, and finished with bias binding. You’ll leave with your new cozy, no more burned fingers from hot soup bowls, and techniques that can be applied to any number of future quilting projects.
Before participating in this workshop, students will need to take our Sewing Machine Basics workshop or have basic knowledge of how to use the sewing machine to sew a straight stitch.
This is a live virtual class that will be conducted via Zoom, and participants will receive information about how to participate by email prior to the class. You will be able to pickup a kit of supplies containing thread, fabric, pins, and a pattern on Thursday or Friday, January 28-29, 11a-5pm, or email email@example.com to arrange a different time. You must have a sewing machine in working order setup at home, and you will need scissors and an iron as well.
