Materials saved from the landfill:
paper, kitchen scraps
Skills you’ll learn:
natural ink-making, inkwash
Natural inks are a beautiful and sustainable way to bring color to your ink drawings. Common kitchen items like coffee grounds and tea bags are transformed into brilliant sepia-toned inks. In this workshop, you’ll learn to create inks from natural materials, and then use the inks to practice ink drawing + washing techniques on salvaged paper. We’ll provide all the materials you need to make a lovely + sustainable work of art!
This is a live virtual class that will be conducted via Zoom, and participants will receive information about how to participate by email prior to the class. You will be able to pickup a kit of supplies containing paper, brush, tape, and ink-making materials on Tuesday, February 23, 3-5pm, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a different time.
