Skills you’ll learn:
sewing curved lines, pattern-making
Great for summer picnics or walks in the park, a water bottle sling or cozy will help you carry your water and keep it cold so you can stay hydrated on the go. In this class, we’ll guide you through designing a cozy fit perfectly to your bottle of choice. You’ll gain skills in drafting a custom pattern applicable to many other sewn household items. You’ll also learn to sew curved seams, use bias binding, and construct strong straps.
Before participating in this workshop, students will need to take our Sewing Machine Basics workshop or have basic knowledge of how to use the sewing machine to sew a straight stittch.
This is a live virtual class that will be conducted via Zoom, and participants will receive information about how to participate by email prior to the class. You will be able to pickup a kit of supplies containing thread, fabric, pins, and other needed materials on Thursday-Saturday, July 15-17 from 11a-5pm, or email email@example.com to arrange a different time. You must have a sewing machine in working order setup at home, and you will need scissors and an iron as well. Fabric is chosen upon pickup, or you may provide your own.
