Wax selection + melting process, measuring essential oil ratios
Learn how to create your own candles with natural wax + upcycled jars. Perennial will provide eco-friendly soy candle wax, wooden wicks, and walk you through how to measure, pour, and use your DIY candle to maximize its performance. Add essential oils to customize your scent, or embed dried botanicals into your wax for a unique look.
This is a virtual class that will be conducted via Zoom. Participants will be emailed information on how to participate prior to the class. You may pickup a kit of materials containing a 5-6 oz jar, mason jar, soy wax, wick, fragrance oil, stir stick and dried botanicals (optional) on Thursday, November 5 or Friday, November 6 from 11am to 5pm, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange another time. You will need a candy thermometer (up to 200 degrees), stovetop or portable burner, and saucepan.
