Want to make your own reusable shopping bag? Crocheting with upcycled t-shirt yarn is a thrifty way to repurpose stained or hole-y fabrics and create a reusable tote bag! For folks who are new to crochet or just want to experiment with alternative materials, this class will cover how to create working yarn from old t-shirts. Each participant will learn basic crochet stitches, which can be used to create their own grocery tote. There will be time to get a good start on the bag, and thorough instructions will be given on how to finish it at your leisure.
This is a virtual class that will be conducted via Zoom. Participants will be emailed information about how to participate before the class. You may pick up a kit of supplies containing t-shirt yarn and a handmade crochet hook on Tuesday, December 1, 3-5pm, or email email@example.com to arrange another time.. You will also need scissors at home!
