Have you drooled over floral arrangements on Instagram, but feel like you wouldn’t know where to start on creating one? Then this is the class for you! In this demo-based class, students will learn all about floral design through the lens of sustainability. From vessel selection and mechanics to material consideration and design instruction, participants will discover how to create stunning floral arrangements at home, as well as be more sustainably-minded consumers of commercially available floral products.
Alexis, a floral industry professional, will speak about these concepts and demonstrate the creation of a larger arrangement, while students will receive instruction to create and take home a smaller arrangement. While all materials are provided, students are welcomed and encouraged to bring their own small vessels for arranging, as well as botanical materials from their yard or garden that they’d like to use!
This is an in-person class that will take place at Perennial. You will be assigned your own socially distanced work station, and will be encouraged to wear a mask while you are here. Our full policies can be found here.
