Ever look at a sewing pattern and feel a bit overwhelmed? Learn how to transform flat fabrics into 3D objects by following a paper pattern. In this comprehensive introduction to pattern sewing, you will learn how make a cozy pair of pajama pants from reclaimed fabrics. Participants will gain new skills in assembling and reading paper patterns, taking their own measurements, cutting fabric, and sewing on a machine. After this two day class participants will leave with a reusable pattern for every size and a completed pair of pajama pants. Participants are welcome to bring in any reclaimed fabrics that are at least 2.5 yards (a queen sized flat sheet will be enough for this project).
