Skills you’ll learn:
Modeling with clay, tool names + uses
Join the creative folks at Perennial (Community Workshop) for this workshop to earn your Sculpture Merit Badge! In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll learn all about different ways of making sculpture with clay! After a discussion, you’ll make a simple model of a head using modeling tools and clay. Then we’ll craft a small-scale model in the same materials, exploring the use of armature.
Since Perennial is all about sustainability, we’ll be using a natural clay (plastic-free) that will not be fired, and will eventually break down.
There are no prerequisites to this workshop. From the badge requirements, we will complete #1, #2a, #2c and #3.
This is a virtual workshop that will be conducted via Zoom. Participants will be emailed instructions to participate a few days before the scheduled time. You must pickup a kit of materials containing a base, clay, and modeling tools on Friday, July 24 from 11am to 5pm, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange another time.
