Materials saved from the landfill:
Skills you’ll learn:
piecing fabric, sewing
Please note that this two-day class meets on Wednesdays, October 20 + 27 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm each night.
Stitch up your own pair of custom patchwork sweatpants in this two-part workshop! Learn to piece and quilt fabric remnants and assemble a pair of elastic-ankle sweats from secondhand sweatshirts. This is a great wearable way to save sentimental fabric that might be too small for a t-shirt quilt.
Before participating in this workshop, students will need to take our Sewing Machine Basics workshop or have basic knowledge of how to use the sewing machine to sew a straight stitch.
Please bring any fabric scraps you’d like to incorporate into your design, as well as 2-3 sweatshirts to upcycle, or choose from a selection provided by Perennial!
This is an in-person class that will take place at Perennial. You will be assigned your own socially distanced work station, and will be required to wear a mask while you are here. Our full policies can be found here.
