Skills you’ll learn:
darts, hemming, zippers, fit alterations
Improve your basic sewing skills and give new life to your old clothes! Do you have an old pair of jeans that need a new zipper? Or a cute thrift store blouse that’s a little too big? Bring in the sewing projects you’ve been putting off for guidance on how to fit, fix, or refashion them into pieces that you’ll love to wear. Possible topics for instruction are hemming, adding darts, fit alterations on seams, replacing zippers, shortening sleeves, etc. Participants in this class should bring their own projects to work on.
Participants should have basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine or have taken Perennial’s Sewing Machine Basics workshop.
This is an in-person class that will take place at Perennial. You will be assigned your own socially distanced work station, and will be required to wear a mask while you are here. Our full policies can be found here.
