Materials saved from the landfill:
bike innertubes, wire
Skills you’ll learn:
Learn to manipulate and form both metal and rubber in this 2 hour workshop. The class will begin with innertubes from bikes that have gone flat, and re-imagine them into workable components for new earrings. The innterube pieces look very similar to leather after they are cut, and are a great vegan, eco friendly alternative material. After cutting and shaping these pieces to our design we’ll incorporate wire to hold the pieces in place. The end result can be whimsical, or elegant depending on your design. All earrings are water resistant, lightweight and have a great story behind them!
Last day to register: Saturday, December 2
